About Us

Dragon Brave started as a shared photo diary among a small group of amateur photographers who kept notes on where to catch seasonal blooms, how to shoot everyday moments without feeling staged, and which small gear choices actually made a difference. Those notes grew into the guides you see here.

We are not professional photographers, and we do not pretend to be. Each guide comes from someone on the team actually going out, taking the shot in different light and weather, and writing down what worked and what did not. When we recommend a lens hood, a tripod, or a storage card, it is because someone here used it on a real walk or a real garden visit, not because it looked good on a spec sheet.

Coverage decisions follow the calendar as much as anything: cherry blossoms in spring, fireflies or fireworks in summer, leaf color in autumn, frost and low winter light, plus the ordinary everyday scenes that fill the gaps between seasons. If a topic cannot be tested firsthand within a reasonable season or two, we hold off on publishing it rather than guess.

Dragon Brave participates in the Amazon Associates program and may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through links on this site. This does not change what we choose to feature or how we describe it.

Questions, corrections, or tips on a spot we should visit next season are always welcome through the contact page, and we read every note that comes in.
